An individualized behavior plan for Home or School
Are you tired of tantrums turning your home into a battlefield? Struggling to repair and strengthen your relationship with your child? Looking for effective ways to support their development through sensorimotor occupational therapy?
Our dedicated coaches guide you through our proven methods to prevent potential tantrums from occurring, enhance communication based on the child’s cognitive level, deepen your understanding of yourself and your child, and restore harmony within the family dynamic. A stronger connection with your child is possible!
Is it sensory seeking/avoiding or are they being “behavioral”?
It can be challenging figuring out if your child’s behavior is due to sensory processing disorder or a behavioral issue.
How can you tell?
A behavioral reaction (e.g., aggressive or avoidant), typically happens when a child is not getting something they want. On the other hand, a sensory child going through a sensory meltdown can seem aggressive and avoidant, too (think fight/flight/freeze). It is important to distinguish the two so that we are not exacerbating the problem.
We can help you identify your child’s unique sensory profile and how to manage sensory meltdowns at home or in the community.
